Many of our competing office centers in the Toronto office space business just do not get it. Toronto small business offices is not so much a blog about fighting for dominance in the Toronto office market as much as it is about showing the marketplace that there is a difference. Even other business office centres can have a good deal, they can offer the same product for $1 less and still not give the quality of service. Telsec does not compete on price, they compete on the best product offered to clients.

Competition is a good thing
It seems that our local competitors are now watching us. What they do not understand is that we do not want their clients. We want our own. Competition is what keeps the market place honest.

Finding an office should not be like point and pray photography
As I have mentioned in other postings, I am not just the blog writer for Telsec and their Toronto office space, I am also a client. I am also a professional photographer who shoots commercial shoots, residential real estate shoots, portraits, and Event shoots.
This past weekend, I was asked to do a shoot at a large dance party that included a short skit show on stage. With all the different lighting and flashes from other photographers, I had to take a shoot and pray approach and take a large number of photos with and without the help of my flash. It was like being blindfolded and being asked to hit the bullseye, if you take enough shots, you will hopefully hit it.
This got me to thinking about the challenges of small businesses who are looking for quality office space in Toronto and thinking, the hit and miss method is not the approach I would tell them to try in finding an office space in Toronto.
When looking for an office centre, the best practice is to find an office space at a prestigious address like 1 Yonge Street (the number 1 address on the number one street in Canada). You also want a business office centre with a proven track record at benefiting their clients success.
This can be found with Telsec Business Centres. On their website www.telsec.net.

Toronto International Film Festival - office space
It is TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) time again. Along with the many stars and film directors in town, the city of Toronto is full of international media and business representatives from companies who do business with the film industry. With the influx of movie industry types, media and visiting business representatives, comes the need for Toronto short term office rentals and Toronto temporary offices space rental.
Telsec Toronto office space is the choice location for a business executive centre, as it is ideally located near the many film studios in Toronto and also right downtown where all the film festival parties, galas and film showings. After the Toronto International Film Festival is over, there will be a demand for offices near the film district.
Even if you are not in the film business, you may be one of those companies that sell your products or services to the film industry, you will want your office to be close to where the film companies are located. This is especially true for vendors looking to do business with new Corus Entertainment, as their new headquarters being built only a few blocks east of 1 Yonge Street, the Toronto Star building and home of Telsec business centres.

Back To School is also a good time For Business Homework
As everyone prepares to get the kids back to school, they forget about the homework that they have to do as small business owners.
Just as you should change the batteries in your smoke detectors when the time changes for daylight savings time, back to school season is a good time to review your business plans. Yes, you remember those plans you made when you wanted to convince the bank that you had a viable business and that they should lend you start up funds. Too many businesses forget about their business plans after starting their business, but it is important to review your plan twice a year. Especially the part of your plan that discusses your growth and expansion.
Has it been 2, 3, 5 or even 10 years since you started your business? Has you need for office space or professional image grown? Are you still working from home or in borrowed space that does not allow you to grow further? The secret behind the success of people like Bill Gates, James Balsillie, Steve Jobes, and other businesses that started in a basement or garage is that they knew when it was time to move into a real business address.
Telsec offers many different options to businesses looking to grow, but not ready to take on the challenges and headaches of setting up an independent office, without foregoing the advantages of a prestigious office location and professional office support team.
Once the kids are back to school and getting homework assignments, why not start your own homework and start investigating how to grow your business out of your home and showing your clients you have a professional address.

With several different types of companies renting office space Toronto from Telsec, there is a good chance that one of the other companies who are also renting executive offices in Toronto may fit nicely in your network.
As part of your office space for rent, you have access to Telsec's office services like the kitchens and complimentary tea and coffee. It is amazing how the exchange of pleasantries while getting your coffee or tea can turn into business conversations. Taking some time to get to know your neighbours can be very rewarding and beneficial to your business. Forget about Auto Attendants and Interactive Voice Response Systems and Get a Real Person
How many times have your clients told you they hate your auto attendant and want to talk to a real person? More importantly how many of your potential clients have been so annoyed by your Interactive Voice Response system and just hung up to call your competition.
Most company owners do not realize the potential lost business that Auto Attendant until they are asked."How many times have you been annoyed by an auto attendant or one of those Interactive Voice Response systems that you just hung up and decided to call someone else instead?" At this point the lights come on, and they start to think about the businesses they have passed over for not having a live professional receptionist who can route their call to the right person.
You have to decide if a computer is going to be the first contact with your company or if it is a live professional receptionist. Often when a client is contacting your firm for the first time, they are unsure who they are looking for and if your company is the one they want to deal with. An auto attendant or an interactive voice response system may not be the most inviting greeting they want to hear.
At Telsec Business Centers, our professional and courteous receptionist will handle your calls to your instructions and ensure your customers reach the right person in your company. You can even take your calls with you, when you are on the road and away from the office. During normal business hours, the receptionist can transfer your calls to your home office, cell phone, or even your cottage. The best part is that your customer does not have to know you are not in the office or know the private number your call was transfered to.
The current economic downturn is why companies start to look to downsize their offices and replace support staff with computer automated solutions. At Telsec Business Centres, we want to help your business to survive the recession and concentrate on your key objective, rather than focusing on office management.
Before you chose a Toronto office rental space and decide to install an auto attendant or a interactive voice response system, consider the advantages of a small office rental from Telsec.

Deal Direct and save on complications
When you do your search for Toronto Office Space, do you really know who you are dealing with?
There are many directories and jobbers who know how to stay on top of the Internet search engines lists, but are they there to help you or the office location you seek? Or are they there to make a profit on your search of an office in Toronto?
Telsec business office centres offers quality office space in Toronto, yet web based directories (located in England or other offshore locations) will come up high in the search engines for office space Toronto ahead of office space rental companies truly located in Toronto, simply due to search engine manipulation.
While Telsec uses honest business practices to stay relevant on search engines for companies in Toronto and offers Toronto office business services, other directory and service groups try to re sell their space at a premium charge to the consumer. These directories do not want your business, they want to sell your information to the local companies you could be dealing with locally. They just want to sell your contact info to the local companies.
By dealing with local companies who do not encourage or participate in information exchange with these directories, you also reduce your potential to possible spam. When you want an office space in Toronto, be sure that you are dealing with an office space business that actually is located in Toronto.
Dealing with a company that is selling leads to Toronto office space facilities will cost you more in the long run. Unlike local commercial reatlors, who charge office rental facilities once you lease office space through them, web directory companies charge office space rental companies for access to the information you provide. When you fill out an online form from a company without a local address to where you are looking for an office, chances are you are dealing with an information broker who may also sell your personal information to companies looking to send you unwanted junk email.
When you deal directly with a company who is renting office space in Toronto and whose prestigious address is where you want to have your company associated with, you know you are not going through an agency who is just making money off of your web clicks.

Downsize your Administrative Costs, Not your key staff
Too many companies that are forced to downsize due to the ailing economy, lay off the wrong people for the wrong reasons. Why lay off a junior sales person who brings in money when you can fire your office equipment leases and stop paying for expensive telephone equipment upgrades?
Administrative staffing is an area where companies look to downsize, but are reluctant to turn over to technology. Yes, no one likes to be greeted by a automated call receiver who prompts you to press one for this or two for that, so companies try to keep a live operator to comfort their clients, but finding other key business work for that receptionist is difficult.
Why not have a professional receptionist answer your calls and handle them to your specifications, even informing your callers when you are out of town or away from the office, without the cost of a personal secretary.
The true bonus of a Telsec serviced office in Toronto is that most of what you need admin staff to do for your business is included in the cost of your office space. When you do need additional help or tasks taken care of, you can use Telsec's administrative team on a "A la Carte" basis. Utilizing "On Demand Administrative Staff" will save your organization from having a on staff member who tries to find work for themselves until you need them to do important work.
Consider your options when faced with choices of what to downsize. Consider Telsec Business Office Centres as your true choice for Toronto office space.

Daily Office Rentals
For some businesses, a full time office is not a necessity. Even having an office one day a week is more than they require. Having an office twice a month, is even more than they are looking for. Telsec has watched the economic downturns and up swings since 1980. We know that some businesses are not looking for a regular office. For those companies who do not need a regular office, Telsec offers daily office rentals.A daily office rental offers the ability to rent an office for the day or even half day. Paying for an office you do not use? Talk to our staff to help you find the daily office solution that suits your business. Your business success depends on you making the right choices on infrastructure expenses to keep office costs low.
When you need more than just an occasional office, but not a full time office, you may want to consider one of Telsec’s virtual office solutions. A virtual office plan with the use of a daily office when you need it, will impress your clients with your prestigious business address and the fact that it is not just a post office box.

Many small and medium businesses are searching for office space in Toronto at a good price, only to find that the cost of setting up the office will cost them more than three months rent. With Telsec, you get a fully furnished office with access to photocopiers and fax machines, your telephone and Internet services are set up in minutes without additional hardware costs.
In doing your office search Toronto, consider whether you are looking for just empty space that will cost more than just renting a furnished office with all the back up support that is ready to go in minutes?

Cost Savings and how to still look professional

As I go through the many searches of people looking for Toronto office space for rent, I find more people thinking they need an unfurnished office. This is not the case for most people, yet they think that is what will save them money. What they do not realize is that in the end renting an unfurnished office will end up costing them more.
Renting a small office at Telsec Business Centres will save them much more in terms of ease of office setup. An unfurnished office will cost them at least $1200, where a fully furnished executive Toronto office space at Telsec could cost only $495 for a private office in Toronto.
When they further investigate the true cost savings, most realize that an office space in downtown Toronto is more than affordable, it is the best solution for these economic times.
